E-40 Celebrates 30th Anniversary Of 'In A Major Way' At 'Tiny Desk' Concert

E-40 is celebrating a special milestone in his career with a rare performance of his hits.

On Monday, June 2, the veteran MC from the Bay made his debut on NPR's "Tiny Desk" concert. E-40 begins his performance with "Da Bumble" off his sophomore studio album In A Major Way, which turned 30 in March. He continued with other cuts like "Sprinkle Me," "Yay Area" and "Captain Save a Hoe." The show got even more lit as he cranked out his notable hits like "Snap Yo Fingers," "U and Dat," and "1-Luv." He closed out with his fan favorites "Function" and "Tell Me When To Go."

"I'm on my fourth wind!" E-40 said about his performance.

E-40 was supported by his Soul Slapperz," an eight-piece band featuring his DJ, DJ KMP, a drummer, guitarist, bassist, saxophonist, and a few background vocalists. 40 Fonzarelli is the first of several revered artists who will bring their classics to "Tiny Desk" in honor of Black Music Month. NPR Music's beloved concert series will feature performances from Amerie, Wiz Khalifa, Keyshia Cole and more.
