PARTYNEXTDOOR Apologizes To Tory Lanez After Dissing Him In Unreleased Song

PARTYNEXTDOOR has apologized to Tory Lanez after he dissed him in a song he previewed online.

The Canadian singer took to Instagram on Thursday, February 27, and backtracked after he fired shots at Lanez in an unreleased song he previewed on IG Live. PND admitted he was wrong after he reacted to comments Lanez made without understanding the context behind them.

"@torylanez I was told about what you said without hearing your video for myself. You didnt say anything that I wouldn't say myself, now that I seen it I was wrong. City is stronger together."

The comments in question stemmed from a video in which Lanez namedropped PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake and The Weeknd. Lanez said all three Canadian artists put out their "best work of 2025." Before he saw the video for himself, PND misunderstood the comments, which infuriated him enough to fire some shots at the imprisoned singer in an unreleased song.

"Stop saying my name," PND said before the song began. "F**k what Tory Lanez say I'm running that/I did everything he did he's just a running man, Drama man... You said I sound like Young Thug/You sound like me."

Lanez has yet to respond to PND's apology. He's currently locked up while serving his 10-year prison bid for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Despite his incarceration, the "Say It" singer is still working on new music. He dropped his Lost Cause album from behind bars back in October and still records from his cell. During a recent video call, a fight broke out between some inmates while he was recording. See the footage below.
