Nipsey Hussle's Posthumous Joint Album With Bino Rideaux Is On The Way

The last musical project Nipsey Hussle was involved in before his untimely death will finally see the light of day this year.

On Wednesday, February 26, the late rapper's brother Blacc Sam confirmed Nip's joint album with Bino Rideaux will arrive sometime this summer during a radio interview. According to Billboard, the album was recorded in 2019 before the Los Angeles native was shot and killed.

“He did something with Bino and there’s a new project that we’re about to release," Sam said. "This was a project that he had with Bino that was pretty much like 80% finished.”

“So the team kind of came in, got some unreleased verses and music that he had done with Bino and just tightened it up," he continued. "It sounds amazing. It should be coming out around this summer. The team is real excited. We just finished going over all the stuff for the last three weeks with everybody.”

Sam emphasized that Nipsey was heavily involved with the project. If he wasn't, he said the music wouldn't come out at all. Nip and Bino worked together several times in the past. The duo released their collaborative project No Pressure in 2017 and teamed up with Dave East for "Clarity" in 2016.

Elsewhere in the interview, Blacc Sam also provided an update on the anticipated documentary about Nip's life. The program, which was first teased in 2022, is fully produced by Nip's family and will be split up into at least eight episodes.

"People can’t throw some money at us and tell us, ‘It needs to be two episodes or three episodes,'" Sam explained. "The creative is not for sale, so we just been kind of like backing away, turning down a lot of offers, and putting our head down and working. And once it’s finished correctly, its looking like maybe eight episodes, then we’re going to come out and release it.”

As of this report, there's no release date for neither the album nor the documentary.
