A crew of hapless California burglars gave police a hand in their own capture -- by leaving a stolen prosthetic arm in full view on the seat of their getaway car.
Michael Martin, Emma St. Claire and Mike Mulligan were all arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property. An officer who was on routine patrol noticed an artificial limb, which had been reported stolen from a home in Nevada City, sitting on the seat of the car. And when he knocked on the door of one of the suspects, he got a full confession.
The crook also fingered his accomplices, and all three remain in custody on felony charges. (Sacramento Bee)
