Kanye West Is Back On The Charts?!

Controversy be damned Kanye’s music is booming!

His 2016 album The Life of Pablo has reentered the Billboard 200!

Featuring Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, and The Weeknd, the album reentry comes after Kanye West lost brand deals with Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap, after the fallout from the hate speech in his interviews.

Adidas has ended its partnership with Kanye West.

The brand “does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” they said in a statement, “Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

Adidas terminated, the end product of Yeezy branded products, and stopped all payments to Ye and his companies. The financial loss of terminating the partnership is $250 million for the fourth quarter.

The brand states they own all design rights to existing products and previous and new colorways.

Kanye West‘s appearance on LeBron James’ The Shop was pulled due to “more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes” in the episode.

“Yesterday we taped an episode of The Shop with Kanye West,” Maverick Carter, who runs LeBron’s SpringHill Entertainment production company said. “Kanye was booked weeks ago and, after talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped, I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments. Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes. We have made the decision not to air this episode or any of Kanye’s remarks. While The Shop embraces thoughtful discourse and differing opinions, we have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate. I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew. Hate speech should never have an audience.”

Other guests included Jeezy and shoe designer Salehe Bembury, but LeBron James wasn’t present.

Kanye West is the first artist to have 85 singles certified gold as a lead artist.

Ye's “Everything We Need,” was officially certified gold from his 2019 gospel-rap album Jesus Is King, which is gold itself.

Kanye West collected a total of 26 gold and platinum certifications in 2022, as “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” climbed to 4x platinum status and his JAY-Z assisted “N-ggas In Paris” soared to 9x platinum.
