Shawn Mendes Shares Gorgeous Acoustic Version Of 'Wonder'

Fans are just over a month away from hearing Shawn Mendes' upcoming new album, Wonder, but in the meantime, the singer has shared an acoustic version of the project's title track and lead single.

In the acoustic version of "Wonder," the track is stripped back, showcasing Shawn's vocals, and the piano along with some strings.

Shawn's new album, Wonder, is set to be released on December 4th and follows his 2018 self-titled third full-length LP. In a handwritten note shared to social media, he told fans that Wonder is "as real and as honest as [he's] ever been" and an album he's "been wanting to make for a really long time." He explained, "It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been," adding, "It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time. I absolutely love it. Thank you for being by my side for so many years. I love you all so much."

Additionally, just two weeks before the new album is released, on November 23rd, Mendes' documentary, In Wonder, will hit Netflix. In Wonder is created by music video director Grant Singer, and according to Variety, "is an intimate look at Mendes’ life and journey, filmed over the last few years" and features the singer while on his 2019 world tour after releasing his self-titled album.

Shawn recently shared a first look at the doc via a new trailer, which shows Mendes on his 2019 world tour after releasing his self-titled album, and shines the light on some intense moments, as well as some moments with girlfriend Camila Cabello.
