The Wests may become a family of six very soon.
According to Us Weekly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are planning to have a fourth child in the near future. โ[They] have one last embryo left,โ an insider told the entertainment site, adding that it is a boy.
As for exactly when baby number four will become a reality, the source claimed that the couple plan to have the embryo implanted in a gestational carrier "soon." The news comes seven months after they welcomed their third child, Chicago, via gestational carrier.
โโI have always been really honest about my struggles with pregnancy. Preeclampsia and placenta accreta are high-risk conditions, so when I wanted to have a third baby, doctors said that it wasnโt safe for my โ or the babyโs โ health to carry on my own,โ Kim explained on her app days after Chicago's birth. "After exploring many options, Kanye and I decided to use a gestational carrier. Although I have used the term surrogate in the past, a gestational carrier is actually the technical term for a woman who carries a baby that she has no biological relationship to. A traditional surrogate donates her egg, is artificially inseminated with the fatherโs sperm and then carries the baby to term. Since we implanted my fertilized egg in our gestational carrier, our baby is biologically mine and Kanyeโs.โ
Earlier this year, Kim told Elle that while her home and her heart "feel full" with her three babies, she would like to have one more child in the future. โI donโt think I could handle more than [four],โ she added. โMy time is spread really thin. And I think itโs important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids.โ
